Esperienza dedicata alla scoperta della città di Torino, prima capitale d’Italia, per secoli cuore del potere di Casa Savoia, una tra le più importanti dinastie europee.
Durò per trecento anni lo stretto legame che univa Torino alla famiglia Savoia e tutto cominciò nel 1563, anno in cui venne trasferita la capitale del ducato da Chambery a Torino. Da questo momento Torino divenne sede della corte ducale e la città, ancora chiusa all’interno delle sue mura romane, venne letteralmente reinventata con una serie di progetti e di scenografie urbanistiche nelle quali la dinastia potesse rispecchiarsi con adeguata magnificenza. Vennero chiamati artisti e artigiani di altissimo livello per realizzare le opere monumentali.
Il governo del Regno d’Italia decide il trasferimento della capitale a Firenze e così nel 1865, con la partenza di Vittorio Emanuele II da Torino, si spezza il legame che aveva unito per tre secoli la città alla famiglia Savoia.
Torino e la famiglia Lavazza, un legame che dura da quattro generazioni e che ti porterà a viaggiare attraverso la cultura del caffè italiano.
Lavazza è la tipica storia di una famiglia con origini nelle colline del Monferrato che spinta dalla povertà è costretta a emigrare in città nella speranza di migliorare le proprie condizioni di vita. La propensione imprenditoriale del fondatore Luigi Lavazza ha portato una piccola bottega a diventare un’azienda solida e di fama internazionale nella produzione e commercializzazione del caffè, con esportazioni in tutto il mondo.

Meeting with the guide to start the visit of the center of Turin on foot, retracing the traces and history of the Savoy family that has been closely linked to the city for centuries. The itinerary includes: Piazza San Carlo, the so-called ‘living room’ of the city and the equestrian monument of Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia, Piazza Carignano and its historic buildings, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, Palazzo Reale, Palazzo Madama, the Church of San Lorenzo and the Duomo. During the visit there will be a gourmet stop to taste the “bicerin” and artisanal chocolate. Bicerin is a drink that includes coffee, chocolate, milk and syrup whose diffusion dates back to the early nineteenth century. You will also admire the Mole Antonelliana, the symbol of the city and the current home of the Cinema Museum.

Visit to the Lavazza Museum, an immersive experience in the culture of coffee and its rituals, a multisensory journey that traces the history of the company and the coffee supply chain, from plantations to harvesting up to arrival in Turin to be processed and distributed. The Museum is divided into five themed areas and the visit ends with a “Coffee Experience” based on Lavazza Coffee Design recipes, i.e. the tasting of a particular coffee-based blend or cocktail.
