The experience
For centuries, mountain areas have been a harsh and inhospitable living and working environment. Rich in culture and communities historically rooted in them such as Waldensians and Walsers, but also places from which to migrate. Between the 1800s and 1900s, thousands of Piedmontese made this choice. Walking along the paths of these mountains, between villages and woods, accompanied by a hiking guide, will introduce you to landscapes and stories that belong, perhaps, to your ancestors.
Among the valleys of Piedmont, through fabulous itineraries, you will see breathtaking views and interesting historical and cultural elements: from Cuneo to Val Chisone, from Valle di Susa to Verbano Cusio Ossola.
Recommended period: From April to October.
