The recital of the Alta Val Borbera Choir, an APS association present in Cabella Ligure since 1990, is a historical-artistic-spiritual musical reading of the frescoes on the vault of the church of San Lorenzo painted in 1938 by the painter Felice Bellotti from Bergamo on the occasion of the Eucharistic Congress held in that year. The faces of the Saints represented in the lunettes are those of some inhabitants of the town of the time. The current parish church stands on the ruins of the ancient oratory of San Rocco. Since the oratory of the village was insufficient, in 1607 Bishop Gambara ordered its demolition to build a new church on the foundations more suited to the needs of the population. The reconstruction took place in the first half of the seventeenth century by the Marquis Spinola, with the help of the inhabitants and completed in 1876. The church overlooks a small square that opens into the fabric of the narrow and winding streets of medieval layout, in contrast with the neoclassical style of the façade, marked by fluted pilasters with acanthus leaf capitals.
