The experience
The production of extra virgin olive oil has a thousand-year-old tradition on the hills of Pinerolo and the memory of the aroma and flavor of such a precious product of the local culinary tradition has certainly been a bond carefully guarded by migrants in new countries. By meeting him and discovering him, you will be able to make this memory your own. You will learn about traditional processes, now also attentive to eco-sustainability, you will listen to stories and legends related to the olive tree and the historical places that dot this land.
It may come as a surprise to think of the olive tree on the hills of Pinerolo, but it has been cultivated here for almost a thousand years. You will walk, accompanied by a dedicated story, to discover the streets of the historic center of Pinerolo going out towards the hill and the agricultural landscape with its traditions, stories and ancient local legends. You will visit a farm producing extra virgin olive oil, located on land where olive trees have been cultivated since before the year 1100 AD. You will discover 200-year-old olive trees and learn about methods that aim for excellence at every stage of processing, from cultivation to pressing, from bottling to storage. And you will be able, at the end, to taste this excellent oil directly.
