Feast of St. James, Friendship and Roots

The patronal feast of San Giacomo in Monterosso Grana will be held from Friday 19 to Monday 22 July. On this occasion, for the year 2024, it will coincide with the Festival of the Roots and during the weekend with the formalization of the Twinning with our French friends from the municipality of Le Bar-sur-Loup on the Côte d’Azur. Four days of intense activities, both recreational and institutional, ranging from popular games such as the tree of plenty, with the challenge between the hamlets, the merry-go-rounds, the concerts of local groups, the vision of the stars in an isolated village accompanied by amateur astronomers and with a theatrical piece on the theme, the traditional procession through the streets of the town and the signing of the twinning. All seasoned with different gastronomic proposals linked to the local tradition. An opportunity to renew old friendships and create new ones, as well as the opportunity for the descendants of the emigrants of the municipality to discover their roots, traditions and places of origin of their family.
