The Feast of St. James is the anniversary of the Patron Saint of Cassine which traditionally takes place every year on the Tuesday following the fourth Sunday of July. On the previous evening, Monday, the appointment is with “Music under the stars” recurring concert by the Cassinese Band Corps “Francesco Solia” which keeps the Cassinese musical passion alive and accompanies the religious and civic events of the town. The centuries-old tradition of celebrating San Giacomo with an agricultural and livestock fair has changed over time into a street market that is increased with the exhibition of historic vehicles, contemporary art exhibitions, food and wine tastings and a historical-photographic journey on the origins and transformations of the town. On this occasion, the Church of San Francesco, a national monument, the adjacent Museum of Sacred Art “Paola Benzo Dapino”, the churches of the Confraternities of the village and the Church of San Giacomo dedicated to the patron saint can be visited.
