23rd May, 2023. On the YouTube channel of the Piedmont Region there are 5 promotional videos dedicated to Roots Tourism: “Your roots are waiting for you, live Piedmont!”

The videos, each lasting just over 6 minutes, are available in Italian and, subtitled, in French, English, Portuguese and Spanish.

The initiative is promoted by the Regional Department of Emigration and coordinated by the International Relations and Cooperation Sector and is aimed at fellow regionals in the world: “We know that many of you, having Piedmont in your heart, had and have the desire to feel close to our region and to your origins and to be able to promote Piedmont to the communities in which you live to make those who still appreciate its beauty and excellence For personal history or simply for tourism, he has not yet had the opportunity to meet them directly. So we decided to make some promotional videos. They have been designed specifically for you and your associations and can be freely downloaded and disseminated, even on the occasion of events, demonstrations or days that you will organize or participate in. We sincerely hope that you will appreciate this initiative, just as we hope that our relations will be strengthened and strengthened and that, through your precious help, our region will be increasingly known and appreciated even outside Italy”. The initiative is part of the broader framework of actions undertaken by the Piedmont Region to promote “Roots Tourism” also in view of 2024 “Year of Italian Roots”.
