Two days of events, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 September, in Bollengo for the Year of Italian Roots in the World.
Many events organized by the Municipality, in collaboration with the local Sardinian Cultural Club “Sa Rundine” and the Sardinian Club “Su Nuraghe” of Biella, approved by the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and funded by the European Union NexGenerationEU.

Thanks to the happy and concrete synergy of the institutions and European funding, the Biella and Canavese slopes of the morainic greenhouse are once again connected, historically united, through the contribution of the Sardinian communities, which are headed by FASI (Federation of Sardinian Associations in Italy) and the “Museum of Migrations, Paths and Stories of Peoples” in Pettinengo, the only extraterritorial asset of the Autonomous Region of Sardinia, expands its activities and cultural proposals.

The two-day festival “A sonu de trunfa, to the sound of the ribeba, to the sound of the harp, sees the fulcrum of the initiatives focused on one of the instruments par excellence used by migrants all over the world.

On Saturday 7 September, from 16:00, on the square of the Town Hall of Bollengo there will be a demonstration of the forging and construction of the harp, thanks to the work of the Biellese craftsman Luca Boggio enriched by cultural and educational insights by Alessandro Zolt and Guido Antoniotti The initiative is free.

Saturday 7 from 21:00 the Tribeba concert will be broadcast live, Sunday 8 from 16:30 for stories and testimonies of descendants of ancient emigrants.

It is interesting to know that the representative bodies of Italians abroad in La Plata are based at the ancient Associación Italiana de Soccorros Mutuos “unión y Fraternidad“, commonly known as the Brotherhood. The first Italian fraternally founded association in 1883 by Italian pioneers who arrived in Argentina to build the city of La Plata.

A forerunner of Italian culture abroad, the Brotherhood favored the birth, in the city of La Plata, of several other Italian associations: the Union of Italian Workers, the Italian School, the Italian Hospital and the Neapolitan Club; all institutions with the aim of providing services to the community.
A piece of Italianness overseas, which houses in the Municipal Cemetery of La Plata a pantheon owned by the Association, one of the largest in the necropolis with the coats of arms of some Italian cities.
In it rest those who have died far from the Earth in which they were born.

The days are shared and prepared with “Italea”, a registered trademark formed by the fusion of Italy and cutting, wanted by the MAECI, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, which in the Year of Italian Roots in the World, aims to give an identity to the so-called “Roots Tourism”.
In collaboration with the MIC, Ministry of Culture, and MIT, Ministry of Tourism. Italea promotes this particular form of tourism, since Italy, with about 80 million emigrants and their descendants, boasts a large pool of Italians in the world.
